SENIOR PROCUREMENT OFFICER (Temporary Worker) (Ref: 003/11) for a period of up to twelve months. Duties and responsibilities: The Senior Procurement Officer will organise and manage the daily running of the procurement sub section within the Finance, Contracts and Audit Section including preparation of the tender programme and its implementation in close cooperation with the Operations and Finance, Contracts and Audit Sections. Professional requirements/qualifications: Applicants must have a relevant university degree and at least six years of professional experience within an international organization or private sector. Completion of specialised training would be an asset. Applicants should demonstrate knowledge with the project cycle management and be acquainted with procurement rules and procedures. The successful candidate must possess good research skills, ability for concise reporting and proficient writing skills in English; good capacity to maintain communication and information flow within the team; Readiness to take decisions and initiatives. Professional requirements/qualifications: Applicants must have full secondary education supplemented with post-secondary relevant course and at least three years of relevant professional experience. Completion of specialised training would be an advantage. The successful candidate must have good knowledge of databases and informatics, filling methods and record management systems. Must be a self-starting, highly motivated individual; must possess good communication and interpersonal skills; very good document organizational skills; ability to work in a team and to work under tight deadlines and pressure; flexibility, willingness and capacity to work in an international environment. |
